If I have serjury and will be out for 6 weeks can I collect.

No, you cannot collect unemployment in PA if you are out of job for your own reasons. If you lost the job, then yes. Even long term disability insurance would not cover this case I believe.

A person can never collect UC in Pa if they are not available for work. period.  
However if a person has disabilty ins. it will be counted as credit weeks. and will show up on the Financial determination eventually and that person will have to pay the money back if they were claiming those weeks.
